Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Work alongside the Executive Director Senior Associate Director Associate and Assistant Directors and other managers staff and students to carry out the mission vision and values of the Office of Housing Administration.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Lead and coordinate the activities of custodial staff to ensure a clean safe and welcoming environment for students.
- Health & Wellness: Promote high standards of sanitation and cleanliness contributing significantly to the quality of life and learning environment for students residing in housing facilities.
- Collaborative Effort: Perform duties as part of a team of four lead custodians fostering respect inclusivity collaboration and growth.

Position Information
- This is a fulltime 1.0 timebase) benefits eligible permanent/probationary position.
- This position is designated nonexempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
- Standard SDSU work hours are Wednesday Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. but may vary based on operational needs.
- The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego
Department Summary
The Office of Housing Administration (OHA) is a selffunded operation responsible for planning providing and administering housing operations services and facilities with over 100 employees and over 150 student assistants with an annual operating budget exceeding $. OHA provides housing for over 8900 students in 25 communities with over 2 million sq. ft. of residential facilities. The OHA manages the operation of residence halls apartments and conference and event spaces. The OHA supports the educational mission of the Residential Education Office (REO) while providing business operations for all housingrelated functions in support of a quality environment to enhance the student educational experience.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to one to two years of related custodial experience and providing onthejob training and leadership to others.
Licenses/Certifications Required
- Valid California Drivers License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.
Key Qualifications
- Driving pickups and other automotive equipment and operating various automated machines (vacuum buffer powerwasher auto scrubbers extractors etc.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment material and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance (in excess of 50 pounds with assistance).
- Working knowledge of the methods chemicals and equipment used in custodial work and of the safety and sanitation practices and measures; and effective lead/supervisory practices and techniques.
- Ability to provide lead work direction including training others in proper work methods and safety and providing feedback on work performance.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3950 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
