Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Observe and implement lean manufacturing methods in all job assignments
  • Maintain spindle turning at maximum at all times
  • Ensure parts and tools are loaded correctly and that quality is consistently maintained throughout the assignment
  • Change and adjust cutters under supervision as instructed
  • Learn and adhere to University Swaging policies and procedures particularly BQMS standards directly related to work center
  • Grease up and tear down of a swager when needed
  • Advanced body swaging
  • Basic inserts and dual path assembly while supervised
  • MO abbreviation understanding
  • All swaging abbreviations and locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 months to 1 year of experience
  • Knowledge of general metal forming processes using a wide variety of machine tools
  • Know how to maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Blueprint reading and basic math skills
  • MO abbreviation understanding
  • All swaging abbreviations and locations
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Basic English language skills and ability to read follow and interpret planning and work order instructions
  • Good attendance good attitude and ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and as required help and/or train others

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $24.00 to $28.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the companys medical dental vision and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Companys 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). To be qualified to work in this facility a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person as defined in those regulations and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. National U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder) and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
