Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teacher to join our dedicated vocational studies department. You will inspire students to pursue careers in this vital sector equipping them with the skills and understanding they need to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and relevant Health and Social Care lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 (BTEC Level 2 and 3.
  • Foster a passion for caring empathy and ethical practice in our students.
  • Create a supportive and practical learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the Health and Social Care curriculum and resources.
  • Liaise with external healthcare and social care providers to enhance learning opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Health and Social Care or a closely related field (e.g. Nursing Social Work).
  • Proven ability to teach engaging Health and Social Care lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5 (BTEC qualifications).
  • Strong knowledge of the Health and Social Care sector and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of or willingness to engage with vocational placements and external partnerships.
