Oldenburg Academy a Catholic Franciscanbased college preparatory high school with a nearly 175year tradition of academic excellence is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher for theschool year. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school committed to Virtue Honor and Education while fostering creativity and artistic expression in students.
Position Overview:
The Art Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing a dynamic visual arts curriculum that encourages students to explore various artistic techniques mediums and historical perspectives. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their creative skills while integrating the schools Franciscan values.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach a variety of art courses including foundational and advanced classes.
Develop lesson plans that align with state standards and support the schools mission.
Engage students in handson projectbased learning experiences.
Organize student art displays exhibitions and contributions to school wide events.
Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic growth.
Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Art Education Fine Arts or a related field (Masters preferred).
Valid Indiana teaching license or willingness to obtain one.
Experience teaching high school students is preferred.
Strong ability to integrate technology into art instruction.
