Software Development Engineer Full Stack Amazon Key

The Amazon Key team is inventing and implementing pioneering initiatives for Amazon deliveries and services within Ring. We are focused on enhancing customer experience through next generation technologies and are seeking an exceptional entrepreneurial fullstack Software Development Engineer to help drive this mission.

This year we are growing our team to support web development for several greenfield projects and internal tools. We code a lot in TypeScript on the frontend and middleware/backend as well as Java on the backend. The role will involve delivering crossteam projects proposing and implementing new architecture and using AI/ML to deliver greater value for customers.

Key job responsibilities
As a software development engineer you will:

Translate product requirements for our web applications into welldesigned welldocumented and wellmaintained frontend code.
Our tech stacks include mostly native AWS services using AWS CDK and singlepage applications. We operate several web views inside other native apps.
We may be asked to help with some awayteam work with other Amazon teams both inside Amazon and external e.g. within the AMZL/LMTech or Delivery and Recipient Experience (DEX REX) teams.
Solve difficult engineering problems with elegant and practical code.
Work across teams to help define engineering best practices and standard and provide technical mentorship to other members of the engineering teams.
Design and build software for mobile front end clients and server systems.

A day in the life
You will have an opportunity to contribute your creative ideas and energy to our group! You will own delivery of features in our webviews in different apps. You will learn how to deliver software that enables our retail website and last mile team to deliver packages efficiently.
Our web development is mostly focused on and TypeScript projects. While our backend development is usually in Coral or Horizonte services. Additionally we work on web tools that support the our team and other partner Amazon Key teams.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including objectoriented design
Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
