Job Description
- Personalizing learning experiences that blend online and inperson instruction
- Cultivating knowledge
- Developing essential academic and social skills
- Preparing students for success in the real world
- Develop and implement engaging and relevant mathematics learning experiences that focus on teaching math through a problemsolving and contextrich approach for both inperson and blended learning formats.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance and expectations.
- Mentor and tutor students to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment in ways consistent with PBIS socialemotional learning and restorative practices.
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics or Education
- Valid Ohio teaching license in Math
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proven experience or desire to work with atrisk and diverse student population
- Proficiency in teaching various math subjects including Algebra and Geometry
- Familiarity with curriculum development and backward instructional design (UbD)
- Ability to utilize learning technology and adapt to different learning styles
