ACCA School DescriptionWe are a
blended learning dropout prevention and recovery (DOPR) public charter school in Ashland Ohio. Since we opened our doors in 2008 we have provided atrisk youth in grades 712 with pathways to success and graduation. We hold a rating of
EXCEEDS STANDARDS for DOPR schools in the state of Ohio. As a blended learning school we use a combination of inperson learning online learning (both synchronous and asynchronous) and workbased learning to provide an education filled with opportunities for students to build knowledge skills and realworld experiences. We offer core academics electives credit recovery and careertechnical education (CBI program).
What Makes ACCA UniqueBy design we are small compared to traditional high schools with a ratio of about 5:1 student to full staff ratio. This allows us to effectively work with students in ways that larger more impersonal high schools will work differently at ACCA. Our teachers work 180day contracts. And given our blended learning educational program blended learning days allow for a variety of work options including remote in the community and of course in the school building.
