- Ability to perform all Pharmacy Technician essential functions at an authoritative/expert resource level under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Drafts and monitors the technician schedule to ensure adequate coverage of support personnel and make adjustments as needed to meet department requirements.
- Assists in development administration and monitoring of staff competencies and department required testing. Provides orientation inservices and educational opportunities for technicians interns and support personnel.
- Continuous communication and collaboration with nursing staff and other Spectrum Health hospital team members to facilitate coordination and improvement of services as well as problem resolution.
- Provides monitoring and reports for monthly reports and special projects.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications. Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associates Degree or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience Healthcare Required
- 2 years of relevant experience Pharmacy Technician Preferred
- LICPharmacy Technician STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required And
- CRTPharmacy Technician Certified (CPHT) PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Upon Hire required Or
- CRTExam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) NHA National Healthcareer Association Upon Hire required
- Ideal candidate is a Pharmacy Technician possessing Full License and/or National Certification such as PTCB Cert.
- Inpatient experience would be a plus
