Position Overview:
About The Role:
- Lead mentor and inspire a highperforming Product Development team to develop outerwear readytowear and accessories categories ensuring each piece reflects luxury craftsmanship global fit consistency quality and functionality.
- Lead PD team to be cocreation partners in translating creative vision into executable product while honoring luxury design intent business category needs construction integrity and functionality
- Foster a culture of excellence accountability and creativity encouraging curiosity and continuous learning.
- Promote a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement across the team integrating learnings from hindsight and market research.
- Partner with leadership to assess team structure and bandwidth align resources to project needs and ensure workload balance across the team.
- Provide clear guidance and support to the team on categoryspecific nuances while maintaining consistency in and global standards.
- Serve as the goto leader for escalations helping the team navigate development challenges with clarity diplomacy and urgency.
- Drive alignment across Design Merch and Sourcing to ensure seasonal goals and deliverables are met using strong communication and problemsolving skills to navigate crossfunctional dynamics.
- Lead the PD team in partnering with Global Fit Team Technical team QA and Vendors to develop and enforce global fit standards including standardize fit blocks specs and grading that reflect the brands luxury positioning and deliver a consistent fit globally.
- Foster relationships and partner with global vendors to support refinement of fit silhouette and craftsmanship standards for prototypes and samples.
- Ensure technical feasibility material readiness and capacity are aligned to execute season prototypes.
- Ensure tech packs and fit comments are delivered with precision and clarity supporting flawless by internal teams and vendors.
- Drive proactive collaboration with Design Materials Development and Sourcing to ensure raw materials are suitable for luxurylevel and ready for prototyping
- Lead calendar adherence for the PD team through tracking anticipating obstacles and working crossfunctionally to adjust and problemsolve without sacrificing quality or fit consistency
- Participate in product calendar creation; manage timelines and proactively adjust resources or priorities to meet critical path milestones.
- In partnership with Sourcing lead the of product costing options that support margin goals while maintaining luxury product integrity and Design intent
- In partnership with Fit team accountable for fit process including overseeing fit schedule fittings and follow up as well as consistency in fit comments across the PD team.
- Work closely with crossfunctional partners to identify and resolve fit and construction challenges early in the development process ensuring alignment on fit intent and technical .
- Maintain deep awareness of emerging trends technologies and construction techniques relevant to the luxury market champion innovation across categories.
- Advocate and lead efforts to improve development processes and tools
- Represent the Product Development function in crossfunctional meetings escalating issues and providing solutions to maintain luxury standards and maintain calendar deadlines.
About You:
- 12 years of experience in Product Development or related roles with luxury brand.
- Bachelors degree in design Product Development or a related field; advanced education or luxury brand training is a plus
- Proven experience in developing outerwear apparel and accessories across global luxury markets
- Strong experience managing mentoring and growing highperforming teams in a dynamic environment
- Deep understanding of luxury construction standards materials and client expectations.
- Expertise in PLM systems and tech pack creation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with 3D systems such as Clo is an advantage.
- Knowledge of global sourcing and manufacturing processes especially in highend production environments
- Strong technical knowledge of global fit practices construction and spec development
- Proven ability to balance creative vision with commercial goals
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across departments
- Highly organized deadlinedriven and adaptable to changing priorities
- Passionate about luxury fashion craftsmanship innovation and inspiring a team to elevate brand expression through product
