This career step requires expert level experience. Overall Purpose: Provides radio frequency (RF) engineering and some Radio Access Network (RAN) design engineering.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversees installation maintenance optimization and/or performance of wireless radio access network communications systems including radio propagation modeling and prediction microwave path analysis interference analysis frequency coordination cell site equipment layout parameter definition and ancillary equipment.
May do some design. May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) performance analysis & drive testing. Analyzes RAN data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators. May include engineering design development test implementation maintenance RF optimization capacity management performance management encryption and/or troubleshooting of satellite networks and Teleports including underlying routing.
Job Contribution:
Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and ATT technologies.
Education:
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent degree. Experience: Typically requires 810 years of applicable experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include but is not limited to work related to fuel tanks emergency and standby generators boilers hazardous waste hazardous materials batteries manholes and vaults water wells linear and other construction projects water discharge or air emissions.
Our Principal RAN Engineering earns between $143800$215800 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography experience expertise and education/training.
