In this position you will serve as the primary administrator of planning functions within the district and act as the primary liaison between the department and its regional planning partners. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is in search of a talented individual to take on the role of Senior Civil Engineer Supervisor. In this role you will lead the development tracking and financing of the districts 12Year Transportation Program and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). You will collaborate with project managers to gather initial cost estimates for projects under consideration for programming. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and submitting all necessary federal authorization and agreement forms as well as participating in monthly technical committee meetings with metropolitan and rural planning organizations to facilitate TIP development. Additionally you will attend all public participation panel meetings and regularly monitor the program to ensure that all project phases are adequately funded reallocating any available surplus funds as needed. Your support for the PennDOT Connects initiative will also be a key aspect of your role ensuring alignment with broader transportation goals and community engagement.
