Job Description

We are currently seeking a fulltime Calibration Technician to work first shift Monday through Friday. The Calibration Technician reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the calibration routine inspection testing maintenance and repair of instruments meters gauges and other testing and measuring process. The Calibration Technician will work with Operations Purchasing and Engineering departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer all calibration methods and procedures
  • Runs monthly reports to determine equipment due for calibration
  • Performs routine equipment maintenance
  • Calibrates equipment to industry standards
  • Troubleshoots equipment failures
  • Conducts equipment repairs
  • Suggests equipment upgrades
  • Maintains calibration equipment and supplies
  • Completes equipment reports
  • Contacts outside calibration houses to schedule outsource calibration
  • Maintains control and traceability related to outside vendors
  • Create document work instruction
  • Perform other duties as necessary when directed to do so to support business needs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; plus a minimum if y year of experience as a calibration technician or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and repairs preferred.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Competency with calibration software.
  • Certified by ASQ (American Society for Quality) preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Regular onsite attendance is a necessary function of this position.
  • Wilcox id a U.S. government defense contractor and this position. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. governmentcontrolled technology prior to beginning work.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand crouch and kneel for extended periods of time. Required to have close visual acuity to perform such activities as preparing and analyzing data. Hand eye coordination required. Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
