Over three weeks in July 2025 the Department of Education will be offering summer literacy camps for students entering either Grade 2 or Grade 3 next school year.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
School s : Selkirk Elementary School
Position: French EA days
Assignment: Summer Numeracy Camp
Start Date: July 7 202 5
End Date: July 2 5 202 5
Over three weeks in July 202 5 the Department of Education will be offering summer numeracy camps for students entering either Grade 3 or Grade 4 next school year.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume how you meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent;
- Experience working with youth;
- Fully fluent in French;
- Postsecondary training in Exceptionalities Worker Program Special Education Teacher Education Early Childhood Education Social Services or Medical Services would be an asset
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND SUITABILITY:
- Ability to work effectively with students teachers and parents;
- Adaptability to cope with a wide variety of situations;
- Ability to work as a member of a team;
- Good organizational interpersonal and communication skills;
- Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Security Clearance (Vulnerable Sector Check) prior to starting work;

- Preference will be given to educational assistants currently employed by the Department of Education;
