The Airborne Systems Business Area part of the Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a cleared Facility Security Officer (FSO) to work in our office near Hanscom AFB MA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Lab Air Force Lifecycle Management Center and other DoD missions. Your role will be to support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combination of software design and development hardware interfacing and integration laboratory experimentation ground and flight testing to deploy cutting edge next generation solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met.

  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM Security Executive Agent Directives and associated industrial security regulations policies and laws.

  • Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations

  • Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff.

  • Administer DaytoDay security to include selfinspections program reviews document control system security violation investigations & reports receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs visit certs etc.

  • Implement security training ensuring compliance with NISPOM and customer requirements.

  • Responsible for implementing all aspects of onsite security management of the facility to include direct support to programs and staff for physical security access control alarm maintenance and response subcontractor oversight and document control/maintenance of classified equipment inventories.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 12 years of relevant facility security experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must have an active DoD TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

  • Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM and other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.

  • Ability to work independently juggle competing workloads and demands and adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal oneonone discussions or in a small group environment.

  • Ability to develop and establish effective security awareness training and education program.

  • Excellent customer service skills and strong professional demeanor and interpersonal skills. Desire to be an active contributor in the success of the mission.

  • Selfstarter with ability to work independently customer service orientated

  • Completion of the DCSA and CDSE Facility Security Officer (FSO) Program Management for Possessing Facilities Course

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience with SIMS DISS NISS NBIS

  • Experience developing and implementing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and emergency action plans

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications
