You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis entrylevel position in research administration provides key highlevel administrative support for the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs Research and Academic Initiatives the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB). This person contributes to productivity and effectiveness in these offices by establishing and enhancing systems and processes for data collection and reporting as well as policy compliance; organizing events for presentation and development of student and faculty research; assisting in grant and funding discovery; supporting the work of the IRB to ensure compliance with relevant and emerging regulations and related risk management issues; and preparation of workshop materials for grant recipients IRB applicants and others engaging with grants and researchrelated pursuits. This position provides an opportunity for professional growth for a person willing to develop or enhance grant writing and research management skills. The next Manager will have or develop an understanding of (a) grantmaking and grantwriting and (b) the IRB process and the role that process plays in ensuring protection of the rights welfare and wellbeing of subjects involved in research. In addition the Research and Grants Manager provides occasional administrative support for Mercys Center for Global Engagement.
