Our awardwinning national Commercial Dispute Resolution team is made up of over 100 lawyers across our 13 UK offices.
The Sheffield Commercial Dispute Resolution team enjoys a formidable reputation within the Sheffield City Region and beyond. It is recognised as a leading practice within Legal 500 and Chambers. As well as acting for many of the regions leading businesses the team boasts an exceptional roster of national and international clients across multiple sectors including manufacturing technology hospitality food and sports. The team are resultsdriven for their clients providing commercial and pragmatic advice which provides real value and is key to the longterm strategic relationships which the team enjoys with its clients.
The team handles a very broad and interesting spectrum of work specialising in particular in complex and high value disputes arising across a range of areas including but not limited to:
Shareholder partnership and trusts.
Commercial contracts and warranties.
Sale and purchase agreements and completion accounts.
Professional negligence claims.
Enforcement of restrictive covenants.
Fraud and misrepresentation.
Injunctive relief including freezing orders.
Contentious insolvency and enforcement.
Reputational management including defamation.
The Sheffield team has enjoyed stellar growth in recent years and it is ambitious to continue on that trajectory. The team consists of a Partner Director Managing Associate two Associates and two Legal Assistants. As a result of the teams growth and the career development and progression of existing team members there is now a fantastic opportunity for a senior lawyer to join the team as it embarks on its next chapter and continues to take on exciting new instructions for prestigious clients.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial solicitor who can demonstrate excellent legal capability with a strategic and commercial mindset.
The team seeks someone for this role who will bring with them experience of a particular specialism which they believe will add value to the teams existing proposition and/or an established client following. The candidate will be willing and able to quickly immerse themselves in a varied and interesting caseload.
Ultimately the right candidate will be adaptable organised hardworking enthusiastic and eager to learn with at least 8 years experience in commercial disputes work and an interest in business development.
