Youll be at the forefront of researching the latest AI trends collaborating with cuttingedge startups and working alongside senior management to drive innovative AIpowered projects across the bank. This is your chance to shape the future of banking and boost operational efficiency.

This role will not only help you build your technical skills but also enhance your leadership and people management abilities as you engage with individuals at all levels of seniority.

Key responsibilities:

Research and evaluate the latest AI trends exploring their potential impact on banking.
Partner with startups and external innovators to integrate groundbreaking AI solutions.
Work closely with senior management to ensure AI initiatives align with the banks overall strategic vision.
Lead the design development and implementation of AIdriven solutions across various banking functions.
Identify and leverage opportunities to optimise processes manage risks and enhance the customer experience using AI technologies.

Skills were looking for:

A Bachelors or Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence Computer Science or a related field.
Strong knowledge of AI technologies including LLMs machine learning natural language processing and automation.
The ability to translate AI research into practical banking solutions.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with startups and senior management.
A sharp analytical mind with problemsolving expertise.
Hardworking motivated and proactive.

OakNorth Bank was built on the foundations of frustrations with oldschool banking. In 2005 when our founders tried to get capital for their data analytics company the computer said no. Unfortunately all major banks in the UK were using the same computer and it was broken.

The industry was backwardlooking and too focused on historic financials rather than future potential.
