Description

Shodair is seeking a dedicated and experienced Evening Shift Nurse Manager to lead and supervise nursing care within our inpatient Acute unit. This leadership role is ideal for a compassionate organized and strategic RN who is passionate about behavioral health and committed to delivering highquality patientcentered care. The Nurse Manager will oversee the performance of licensed nursing and MHT personnel ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a 24/7 care environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the inpatient nursing unit in alignment with hospital policies and nursing best practices.
  • Ensure delivery of highquality individualized nursing care and adherence to the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Supervise support and evaluate licensed nursing and MHT personnel addressing professional and administrative issues as they arise.
  • Actively participate in the hiring training orientation scheduling and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Promote a safe and therapeutic environment through consistent monitoring education and team collaboration.
  • Provide clinical oversight and intervene as needed to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with executive medical and administrative teams to maintain continuity of care and resolve systemic challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal state and local laws and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in budgeting processes quality improvement initiatives and interdepartmental committees.

Essential Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership teambuilding and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to address staff concerns maintain morale and manage conflict effectively.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices developmental levels of children/adolescents and traumainformed care.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and oversee treatment planning in collaboration with the care team.
  • Proficiency in managing medical documentation staffing models and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable managing crises and physically intervening in highrisk patient scenarios when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently manage stress and lead in a highacuity dynamic environment.
Requirements

Required:

  • Active unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience preferably in pediatric or psychiatric settings.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Supervisory experience in a hospital or residential facility.
  • Certification in Psychiatric Nursing.
Salary Description
Starting at $80288 annually
