Job Description

Position Summary

This is an advanced technical administration and support position that is responsible for the management and support of campus audio/video equipment and works closely to design implement and maintain technology in the classrooms and other meeting areas across the campus. Provides influence into standards used across campus concerning A/V equipment and its interaction with other PC type devices. Works closely with the Network Administration team and assists in maintaining and supporting the network infrastructure

Salary: Appropriate placement on ACCS Salary Schedule E1 Grade 2: $50680 $68169

Work Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:45 a.m. 5:15 p.m.; Friday 7:45 a.m. 11:45 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists Technical Director with decisions regarding classroom AV equipment.
  2. Serve as Lead Classroom Technology and Integration Specialist.
  3. Lead peers with duties and assignments with the ability to prioritize assignments.
  4. Manage and maintain classroom AV equipment.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of Crestron integration equipment
  6. Support mobile classroom technology integration (i.e. Ipads)
  7. Support Cisco Digital Signage technology.
  8. Work with Classroom Integration team to provide seamless integration for new technology in the classroom.
  9. Analyze information technology systems and provide solutions to endusers.
  10. Identify computer malfunctions and initiate corrective action to maintain workflow.
  11. Coordinate with personnel regarding program requirements for new technology.
  12. Maintain and document computer software as required.
  13. Assist in maintaining and supporting the network infrastructure.
  14. Perform PC technician duties.
  15. Promote positive and productive relationships with service areas.
  16. Perform all duties with professionalism.
  17. Perform related work as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a Bachelors degree in a CIS/MIS or a related field from an accredited institution and A minimum of one 1 year job related experience with skills in AV and computer support and management is requiredORa minimum of ahigh school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five 5 years related work experience with special skills in AV computer support and management with certification in Crestron equipment support is required.
  2. A minimum three 3 years experience supporting A/V equipment in an enterprise setting is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments:
  1. Crestron Certification in AV controls environments.
  2. Knowledge of AV systems controls amplifiers etc.
  3. Knowledge of Crestron controlled systems in classroom/event environments.
  4. Knowledge in computers and computer software and their integration with AV systems.
  5. Ability to maintain and support PC troubleshooting and mass PC imaging.
  6. Ability to support live AV speaking/presentation events.
  7. Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality of institutional information.
  9. Ability to make decisions in accordance with institutional policy.
  10. Knowledge of common desktop applications.
  11. Possession of a valid drivers license and ability to be insurable.
  12. Ability to operate in a professional manner at all times.
  13. Ability to greet individuals of any background with friendliness tact and courtesy.
  14. Ability to operate in high pressure situations and respond to issues in a calm manner.
  15. Conscientious care about how work is done and wanting to do a good job.
  16. Initiative responding to downtime by taking responsibility to do other work.
  17. A focus on detail.
