WHO WE ARE
Camp Arena Stage is dedicated to the personal and creative growth of its campers by providing excellent arts instruction in a joyful supportive community. Campers are empowered to choose their own schedule from over 50 classes in theater dance music visual arts filmmaking and writing. Camp Arena Stage brings together campers (ages 815 and professional artisteducators from diverse backgrounds to explore discover and create art. Camp includes one 3Week Session followed by one 2Week Session.

WHAT YOULL DO
The Rock Band/Music Instructor at Camp Arena Stage plans and teaches four daily music classes and participates fully in other aspects of camp. Classes taught have included Rock Band Junk Percussion Pop Band Ukulele and Singing Songwriting and Beginning Guitar. We are excited about what you love to teach!
This role is FullTime & Seasonal 40 hours per week June 30 August 9 MondayFriday 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Contract includes one paid week of camp staff training. Camp Arena Stage is a day camp located on the campus of Georgetown Visitation 1524 35th St. NW Washington DC). Free parking. Children of staff attend Camp Arena Stage for free.
- Plan curriculum for and teach four classes each day. Classes are grouped ages 812 and 1215. We especially need instructors with excitement for ages 812.
- Serve as a homeroom/small group leader for 8 campers OR be part of the team that runs carpool lines and the technical needs of our daily Noontime Show.
- Colead a onetime recreation or arts activity each day
- Participate in a full week of onsite camp staff training
- Contribute to a safe supportive collaborative arts community for campers and staff
- Attend brief faculty meetings on Thursdays from 4:15 4:45 p.m.
- Participate in a camp cleanup day on August 9.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with young people; teaching experience within art form preferred
- Bachelors degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience outstanding undergraduates considered
- Ability to plan and teach handson ageappropriate activities that encourage creativity and skill building. Campers have a range of experience with instruments and no audition is required for the camp.
