TITLE:Senior Cloud Computing Systems Engineer
Location:1130 Sanctuary Pkwy Alpharetta GA 30009 Telecommuting permissible from any location within US
Salary: $149760.00 $ 169700.00/year
Job Description:Develops strategy to execute Azure Cloud Engineering. Develops and implements standards and best practices as it relates to cloud solution. Leads efforts to provision infrastructure using infrastructure as code tooling. Leverages automation to monitor and orchestrate client environments. Implements Cloud standards DevOps / CICD tool chain and Standard Operating Environment (SOE). Supports business requirements by conducting business needs assessments and analysis. Keeps up with patches and updates to enable new functionality and address vulnerabilities. Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of cloud and infrastructure development efforts and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility. Works with Kubernetes Docker and other container technologies. Deploys all Azure PaaS services (API AKS AppService FrontDoor etc.. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.
Responsibilities
- Cloud engineering for operational and environment support.
- Create pipelines and support developers using tools such as Azure Devops and Github Cloud
- Knowledge of installation configuration performance management etc. of Kubernetes clusters to host application workload;
- Handle RBAC controls in Azure using AD integration;
- Use automation and IAC to work on Terraform and YAML pipelines;
- Azure PaaS services such as API Manager Azure front Door Azure redis cache Azure data factory Azure Appservices Azure app gateway Azure key vault Azure VM and Azure SQL database; and Azure Cosmos DB
- Cost management using tools such as ACM and HCL Dryice. .
- Performance and capacity management using Datadog
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Systems Computer Science or related field and five 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in Cloud Engineering Kubernetes support and troubleshooting or in the job offered or related role. Alternatively company will accept a masters degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Systems Computer Science or related field and three 3 years of experience in Cloud Engineering Kubernetes support and troubleshooting or in a job offered or related field. Any suitable combination of education training or experience is acceptable.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a goodfaith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dentals assessment of the candidates knowledge skills abilities (KSAs) related experience education certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 22. $149760 $169700
