GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is an agency committed to providing a safe highquality and efficient transportation system for the State of Wyoming. WYDOT is currently seeking a Traffic Electrical Technician in Rock Springs Wyoming to assist the traffic department in highway maintenance electrical sign installations and repairs for District 3.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.- Assist traffic crews with general maintenance operations.
- Maintain and operate complex equipment safely and proficiently.
- Under limited supervision may flag traffic and set up traffic control devices.
- Subject to a 24hour callout in the event of an emergency.
- May be reassigned to other crews as necessary.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
These are temporary positions that require no prior training or experience.
**Must have a valid Drivers license.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of and use of power tools and tape measures.
- Knowledge of Federal and State requirements for the proper use of personal protective equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to travel extensively within the district.
- Subject to 24hour callout in the event of an emergency.
NOTES:- FLSA: NonExempt
- Individuals in this classification will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
- This is a temporary fulltime position
