Medical Scribe
Lakewood WA
Work hours are typically 7 am 6 pm MondayThursday. Medical Scribes do not work weekends holidays or evening hours.
Pay Range: $20.00$22.00/hour
Puget Sound Pain Clinic has locations throughout Pierce & King Counties WA. We are expanding our staff. As the premier Pain Clinic in the SeattleTacoma area we are committed to be the preferred provider of pain management services in the region. For over 20 years our team has made a positive difference in the lives of our patients by providing exceptional pain care. As a member of our team you will have the unique opportunity to learn and work in two roles: as a medical scribe working with one of our providers and as a backoffice support staff member. About thirty hours a week will be spent scribing and 10 hours in various administrative or clinical duties. This could include Intrathecal Pump Coordinator or working in the procedure room during interventional pain management procedures.
Experience is not necessary. We have a robust training program that will give you the experience & knowledge to bolster your resume for Medical or Physician Assistant school. We are looking for young motivated candidates who have a passion for the medical field and have a desire to work and learn in a fun high paced team environment while taking on an array of relevant clinical duties.
As a Medical Scribe your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in the clinical setting
- Data Entry
- Scribing
- Obtaining prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Patient insurance verification
- Triage patient calls and concerns
- Assist with interventional procedures
