Qualifications:
College hours high School diploma or GED
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and file maintenance (preferred)
Ability to use PC and software for student discipline
Ability to read and understand documents including policies and procedures manuals
Ability to receive and give written and verbal instructions
Effective and efficient organizational skills
Exceptional communication skills
Acceptable driving record as defined by TxDPS and Katy ISD
Pass annual physical in accordance with state law
Negative result on drug and/or alcohol test administered as preemployment random post accident and/or reasonable suspicion basis in accordance with federal law and district policy
Able to obtain all Bus Driver qualifications including Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements and School Bus Driver Certification within three months of hire date
Able to communicate in English in both written and oral
Able to read and interpret maps and routes
Able to climb in and out of all school bus emergency exits
Primary Purpose:
Monitor and maintain the discipline management system as it relates to student transportation. Monitor and maintain communication between campuses parents and Transportation in relation to student transportation discipline. Monitor and assist Transportation and campus administrators with the functions of the eightcamera bus security system and provide reports as needed. Safely drive students to and from school on a schedule assigned by the Transportation Department. Safely transport students and staff to and from district sanctioned activities. Always act in the best interest of the district the students and the community.

Video surveillance equipment radio communication equipment multiline phone system personal computer copier/fax/scanner related equipment wheel chair lift buses emergency equipment (triangle reflectors fire extinguisher bodily fluids kit etc. and district vehicles.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Continual sitting. Repetitive hand and arm motions. Occasional exposure to noise extreme temperatures and vehicle outside and inside around moving objects vehicles and machinery with moving parts. Exposed to heat dampness and humidity toxic chemicals exhaust fumes gasoline and diesel fuel. Prolonged driving and sitting. Irregular hours and occasional prolonged hours.
