Overview

Know Your Rights: moderate supervision the Biomedical Engineer II is responsible for maintenance of medical equipment instrumentation and support system of medium complexity used in healthcare delivery. Duties include but not limited to inventory assessments inspection installation preventive maintenance and repairs of medical equipment. The candidate is responsible to assist the Divisional/Regional Manager and the Corporate team with all aspects of MEMP including development of financial/operational plans quality improvement equipment planning and outside vendor management. The candidate is also responsible for ensuring adherence to various applicable standards that are set by national accreditation and regulatory bodies to ensure patient safety and a safe work environment. Being a frontline staff this individual shall provide a positive representation of BioMedical Services Inc. by integrating core values into job performance. Travel approximately 40 of time.

Qualifications

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING

1. Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering or related relevant field or Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering or related plus 2 years of experience required
2. Knowledge of anatomy physiology electromechanical and electronic fundamentals medical equipment function and operation safety in healthcare facilities and medical equipment troubleshooting required.
3. Experience in analyzing lifecycle of medical equipment required. In particular demonstrated knowledge in undertaking inhouse maintenance/service contract assessments and asset utilization studies.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role which includes estimated wages benefits and other forms of compensation is $32.81 to $47.52. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire in which a wide range of factors will be considered including but not limited to skillset years of applicable experience education credentials and licensure.
