The Opportunity
Executrade is excited to announce our collaboration with a new client seeking a Project Manager dedicated to Civil Engineering projects. This individual will thrive in a dynamic environment and lead our team mentor junior engineers and oversee a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills technical expertise and a passion for fostering professional growth within their team.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and support team members including Junior Engineers EITs and Technologists fostering their growth and collaboration.
Develop and implement coaching programs to promote employee development and best practices.
Mentor and coach team members on technical skills and knowledge encouraging career growth.
Lead by example with technical expertise during project planning and solving complex engineering challenges and fostering innovation.
Collaborate with other departments to align engineering objectives with firm goals.
Provide technical guidance on engineering matters to team members.
Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices.
Perform engineering analysis and detailed design of roadway and civil grading projects.
Analyze and process topographical survey data.
Prepare engineering designs asbuilt/record drawings and plans using Civil 3D.
Develop design quantities and cost estimates.
Prepare technical reports tender documents and specifications.
Offer technical support to field staff during construction phases.
Manage projects to meet quality schedule and budget targets.
Assist in preparing business proposals.
Skills and Qualifications
5 years of experience in a technical engineering environment . designation strongly preferred.
Proven experience in mentoring coaching and leading engineering teams.
Strong entrepreneurial spirit with excellent social skills to collaborate with clients colleagues and government agencies.
High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fastpaced changing environment.
Wellconnected within the industry.
Technical expertise in civil engineering disciplines such as road design water design municipal projects etc.
Willingness and ability to travel within Western and Northern Canada as needed.
