Title: Lab technician Lineworker Part Time
Salary Range: Hourly rate of $20 per hour
Contract Term Length:Not Applicable
Standard Hours:Evenings; Up to 15 hours a week

Job Summary
Responsible for training and developing potential line workers in the technical skills and safety protocols required for working on electrical power lines.
Job Duties:
- Deliver instructional materials
- Conduct handson training sessions
- Evaluate students performance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Requires experience as a line worker strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and guide students in a highrisk environment.
- Ideal candidates should be passionate about safety and committed to preparing the next generation of line workers.
- Provide inperson instruction to students outside at the pole yard.
- Maintenance and care of training materials will also be expected.
- Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant experience/ industry certifications a plus
- Understanding and experience with electrical power line safety requirements.
- Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
- Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; selfmotivated; able to work in a fastpaced changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners representing himself/herself professionally and courteously.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multitask work under deadlines and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
- Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel Forms Outlook Teams SharePoint and Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent
- Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
- Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
Additional Skills Requested:
This is an hourly position working with students on poles alongside the fulltime instructor.
