Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Endoscopy Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Endoscopy Technician you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and maintaining the integrity of our medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up endoscopic equipment and instruments prior to procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures including but not limited to gastroscopies colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate support and care throughout procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility in the endoscopy suite adhering to infection control protocols.
- Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely and according to regulatory guidelines.
- Document patient information procedure details and equipment maintenance records accurately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or diploma in endoscopy technology preferred.
- Prior experience working in an endoscopy or surgical setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient knowledge of endoscopic equipment and instrumentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Attention to detail and adherence to strict safety and infection control protocols.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
