Troubleshoot test and repair electronic equipment such as computers and industrial control systems following blueprints and manufacturers specifications using hand tools and test instruments.
Apply knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose the cause of a malfunction locate defective components and/or circuits causing the malfunction and perform the necessary adjustment replacement or repairs to correct the malfunction.
The industrial control systems which the technician will encounter at this installation currently and in the future include but are not limited to: Resistance welding controllers A.C. and D.C. variable speed motor controls Servomotor control systems highvoltage electrostatic paint application systems and programmable logic controllerbased systems that control automated metal fabrication and assembly machinery as well as automated parts handling systems.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair other related equipment and systems in order to keep plant functioning.
Perform other duties as required.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Regular attendance is expected and required.
Report any unusual mechanical or operating conditions to proper persons.
Maintain quality standards according to specifications.
Attention to Detail.
Basic Math.
Reading/Writing Comprehension.
Education and Experience:
3 years manufacturing experience
High school diploma or GED
Basic knowledge of electricity
Must have passed through lines of progression or possess the experience and knowledge necessary to perform the tasks associated with the job.
