Nine Maidens AP Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Primary Teacher with Primary Lead responsibilities to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Primary Department on our journey of school improvement. The successful candidate will teach a small class and lead our Primary department ensuring the highest standards of education and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership:Take lead responsibility for the primary provision under the direction of the principal.
- Standards:Lead and raise the standards of all areas of primary education.
- Curriculum Implementation:Oversee the implementation of the curriculum and teaching and learning across the primary department.
- Collaboration:Work collaboratively with primary staff and the leadership team to ensure cohesive and effective educational practices.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience in primary education
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to school improvement and raising educational standards

About the Academy
Nine Maidens academy mainly supports the pupils from the Camborne Redruth area and the Lizard peninsula.
It is based near the village of Four Lanes and surrounded by rolling countryside. Nine Maidens is split into a secondary department and a primary department. Each pupils programme is individualised and work is set at appropriate levels enabling all pupils to access the curriculum. It is one of the few academies in the country to be awarded the Dyslexia Friendly Schools Quality Mark and takes pride in the intervention programmes offered.
Outdoor Learning is another unique strength of the academy which gives the pupils opportunities to learn in a creative manner away from the classroom. Pupils consider Nine Maidens to be a safe place to learn and that every day is a fresh start.

Who We Are
Wave are an established and successful Multi Academy Trust comprising of Alternative Provision Academies (APAs) Medical Academies (including Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trusts child and adolescent mental health unit Sowenna) and a Special Academy.
We provide education for vulnerable pupils aged 4 19 across Devon and Cornwall. The Trust has a national reputation for the delivery of outstanding pupil outcomes including enabling pupils to access the most appropriate education setting and transition to employment training and higher or further education. The Trust educates over 1000 pupils and employs over 350 members of staff.
