Join Arc of Onondaga as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and choose a position that fits your needs!
As a DSP you will have the privilege of working directly with people who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. In this role you will be actively providing encouragement mentoring and coaching with the goal of successfully assisting those in which you support. DSPs are depended on to assist with lifes essential activities that include but are not limited to: getting out of bed getting dressed going to the bathroom finding a job going to appointments shopping etc. The role of a DSP is to supporthelping people learn identify and explore their independence!

Direct Support Professional positions are available in Residential Services and Community Supports. Full and PartTime positions are available throughout Onondaga County.

DSPs provide support and guidance in all aspects of daily life. This can vary depending on the site and time of day but generally includes appointments shopping attending community activities medication administration meal preparation recreation activities and cleaning.
DSPs conduct group activities in both program/sitebased and communitybased settings and work to meet the goals and supports of the people receiving services.

Specific set schedules you know when youll be expected to work for convenient planning. Days Evenings Overnights and Weekend shifts available.
Monday thru Friday schedules 8am3:30pm

Position Requirements:
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid NYS drivers license
Arc of Onondaga has been supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Onondaga County since 1951
