Job Description

The Bensalem Township School District is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position is a full time 200 Days 10 Months position) under the Act 93/Administration Bensalem Township School District is in beautiful Bucks County Pa. Our supportive community includes six elementary schools two middle schools and Bensalem High School. We offer great pay along with amazing benefits.

Position Goal: To support students with disabilities with a primary focus on those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The BCBA will collaborate with educators parents and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and instructional strategies that promote student success in the school environment.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis Special Education Psychology or a related field.
  • Current BoardCertified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with students with Autism in a school or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws (IDEA Section 504 and ethical guidelines in behavior analysis.
  • Experience in conducting FBAs developing BIPs and utilizing ABA principles.
  • Strong communication collaboration and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to train and coach school personnel in behavior strategies.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working in a publicschool setting.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a BCBA in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience with assistive technology AAC devices or other communication supports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop evidencebased Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct and consultative support to teachers and staff in implementing behavioral strategies within inclusive and special education settings.
  • Design implement and monitor Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)based interventions to improve student behavior communication and social skills.
  • Train and support teachers paraprofessionals and related service providers in best practices for behavior management and instructional strategies for students with Autism and other disabilities.
  • Collect analyze and interpret behavioral data to guide decisionmaking and measure intervention effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop appropriate goals accommodations and supports for students.
  • Conduct professional development workshops for school staff on behavior management deescalation techniques and ASDspecific interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in challenging behavioral situations.
  • Maintain accurate records documentation and reports in compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to support consistency between home and school environments.

The work environment is in an office setting within a school district office building with other personnel and which is accessible by community members. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.
