About this Position:
The position assesses and evaluates behavioral health facilities for quality of care services and treatment of the patients as well as facility practices through observations record review as well as interviews with patients family members staff and outside agency and medical professionals. The position will leverage medical and psychiatric expertise to support provider performance in related areas of compliance and care delivery.
This position serves as an expert within the Quality and Standards Division who works independently or in concert with staff peers to assess the care treatment and quality of care provided by behavioral health licensees and designees through observations interviews and record review. This position must have specialized clinical nursing experience. Uses expertise training and clinical judgment in evaluating evidence and determining based on statutes regulations guidelines policies and procedures on a casebycase if compliance is demonstrated. This requires a higher level of evaluative critical thinking and decisionmaking. This position reflects a high level of autonomy critical thinking skills flexibility and diligence to complete the work required. This position currently has a hybrid work location and is expected to attend inperson meetings as directed to meet leadership and stakeholders. The position requires some instate travel to conduct onsite investigations.
Duties:
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience:
Masters degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
ANDCurrent valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
AND
Three 3 years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
Substitutions
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a yearforyear basis.
Experience in multiple behavioral health fields (i.e. Substance Use Disorder SUD treatment dispensing Medication Assisted Treatment MAT in a Controlled Substance Licensed Program or Opioid Treatment Programmental health treatment eating disorder treatment etc..
Experience in multiple behavioral health levels of care (i.e. outpatient residential withdrawal management 2765 and hospitalization).
Strong written and verbal communication including experience and ability to write factually accurate clear concise and professional reports.
Stakeholder engagement and policy experience.
Experience and skill in utilizing various Electronic Health Record EHR systems and paper file systems to conduct chart reviews.
