Job Description
Job Title: Front Desk Host
Location: Charming Boutique Hotel Independence CA
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary:
Our boutique hotel in the heart of Independence CA is seeking a friendly dependable and handson Front Desk Host to join our small tightknit team. In addition to greeting guests and managing checkins this role includes assisting with light housekeeping setting up our complimentary breakfast and ensuring every guest feels right at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with warmth and handle checkins checkouts and reservations.
- Answer phones respond to inquiries and provide local recommendations with a personal touch.
- Help set up and maintain the daily breakfast area including brewing coffee arranging food items and keeping the space clean and inviting.
- Assist housekeeping staff by restocking rooms folding laundry and light cleaning when needed.
- Keep the front desk and lobby neat organized and welcoming.
- Help with guest luggage and occasional small errands around the property.
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and a cando attitude.
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. such as luggage laundry or breakfast supplies.
- Comfortable performing light housekeeping tasks and breakfast setup/cleanup.
- Flexible schedule including early mornings weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hospitality customer service or food service a plus.
- Friendly and proactive with great communication skills.
- Team player whos happy to pitchin wherever needed.
- Comfortable in a cozy smalltown setting with a familystyle work environment.
