Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Digital Health Foundational Services Engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining solutions using Java Spring Boot Python and RESTful APIs that ensure interoperability of medical imaging systems with a focus on DICOM standards PACS and HL7 integration. Your expertise will be vital in bridging medical systems and improving healthcare delivery through seamless data exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
- Healthcare & Interoperability:
Design and implement DICOMbased solutions to support imaging system interoperability across healthcare platforms. Integrate with PACS RIS and EHR systems using DICOM HL7 and FHIR protocols
- BackEnd Development:
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot and Python. Ensure high performance scalability and security of serverside logic following DICOM Standards. - AWS Cloud Integration:
Design deploy and manage cloudbased solutions using AWS services such as EC2 S3 Lambda RDS and API Gateway. Optimize AWS resource usage for scalability security and costeffectiveness. - API Design and Management:
Develop maintain and document robust RESTful APIs that are secure scalable and easy to consume by other services and applications. - Testing and Debugging:
Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit integration and performance testing. Debug and resolve issues across the full stack to ensure system reliability and performance. - CrossFunctional Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers UX/UI designers QA engineers and other software engineers to deliver highquality ontime solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical field. - Experience:
6 years of professional experience in software development with at least 3 years in DICOM medical imaging or healthcare IT.
Technical Skills:
- Healthcare & Interoperability :
- Knowledge of DICOM standards DICOM tags and PACS systems.
- Experience with DICOM operations: CFIND CSTORE CMOVE CECHO.
- Familiarity with Modality Worklist (MWL) workflows and medical imaging integration.
- Understanding of DICOMWeb HL7 FHIR and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Proficiency in Java Spring Boot and Python for backend development.
- Strong experience in designing implementing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies/frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services including EC2 S3 Lambda RDS and API Gateway.
- Experience working with relational databases especially PostgreSQL or similar.
- Proficient in using version control systems particularly Git.
- Experience with healthcare integration tools like Rhapsody is a plus.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
