Essential Job Functions
- Maximize effective unit hours with timely logons minimize chute times by moving with purpose minimize scene times as per CCEMSA policy and minimize hospital drop times with best efforts.
- Adhere to all American Ambulance and CCEMSA protocols policies and procedures.
- Continually improve skills and knowledge base of prehospital medicine.
- Care for equipment vehicles and facilities as if they are your own.
- Perform as exemplary employee at all times.
- Responsible for completion and accuracy of all paperwork and computerized records.
- Arrives to all work assignments on time in the appropriate uniform and with all appropriate certifications and credentials.
- Assures all safety rules and guidelines are followed.
- Maintains a Professional Appearance at all times when representing American Ambulance.
- Attend all training and meetings as required.
- Promote good morale by exhibiting exemplary conduct a positive attitude and support for all personnel and American Ambulance.
- Treats all patients patients families and friends health care agency personnel and all members of the public with respect and professionalism.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Current CCEMSA EMT Certification
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Provider or Instructor
- Meets Operations Physical Fitness Test Standards
- Current California Drivers License
- Current California Ambulance Driver Certificate
- Current DOT Medical Examiners Card
- Meets insurability requirements for vehicle operation
- Current Tuberculosis test (not required for hire)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a fulltime position (preferred). Days and hours of work may vary as job duties demand. Shifts are typically 12 or 24 hours in duration. Work weeks are from 48 60 hours.
Travel
- Must be able to travel to assigned posts throughout Kings and Fresno Counties. Kings County currently has 5 designated posts and Fresno County has 11.
- There may be occasional travel for conferences seminars and training.
