Want to build systems that enable Selling Partners to grow their business and delight Amazon customers As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) II in the Selling Partners Promotions organization you will build new user experiences that allow both external and internal users to create and manage Price Discounts.
Come join us as we build the new architecture that unifies Retail and 3rd Party promotions sourcing and build rich easy to use experiences using modern front end and back end technologies and design principles. Ideally you are a selfstarter with a passion for technology enthusiasm for collaboration and desire to learn and be curious. You will be part of a wider organization that has welldefined processes (Quarterly Planning Office Hours Feature Intake etc) in place to help minimize churn so our engineers can focus on what they do best building systems at scale for our Selling Partners and our customers.
Key job responsibilities
The Nova team works every day on challenging problems and ideas to improve the experience of Selling Partners when creating and managing Price Discount. We recently launched Prime Member targeting of Price Discount (i.e. Prime Exclusive Discount) that streamlined the Seller experience and enabled the deprecation of a legacy system. In 2025 we plan to revamp the Vendor experience.
The tech stack is built on 100 NAWS. We follow best practices of using CDK and having full CD pipeline. We use Java Kotlin and Katal.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
