GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing the PAES Lab and managing all aspects of the Roanoke LIFE programs. This role includes coordinating the implementation of workbased learning opportunities for students with disabilities ensuring that each student is supported in developing necessary skills for postsecondary education employment and independent living. The coordinator supervises workbased teachers ensuring that they are effectively delivering instructional services both in the classroom and during handson job placements.

Oversee and manage PAES Lab providing handson vocational training for students
Manage Roanoke LIFE Programs coordinating workbased learning experiences aligned with students goals
Work with WorkBased Teachers to support effective instruction in classrooms and job placements
Develop WorkBased Learning by creating and managing opportunities with employers
Monitor Student Progress by tracking and providing feedback on student progress in workbased settings
Collaborate with Stakeholders including staff employers and partners to ensure access to learning opportunities
Coordinate Transition Services to help students transition from school to postsecondary education or employment
Provide Professional Development by offering training to workbased teachers to enhance program delivery
Report and Document Outcomes by maintaining and reporting on student progress for IEP meetings and documentation
Assist Transition Coordinator and WorkBased Instructor with assignments to help RCPS accomplish division transition goals
Perform other assigned duties
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Should have strong knowledge of workbased learning programs vocational rehabilitation and postsecondary options for students with disabilities. They must be familiar with instructional methods and demonstrate excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to develop and supervise workbased learning opportunities aligned with students goals. Strong leadership is needed to manage workbased teachers and collaborate with stakeholders including students families employers and educational professionals. A solid understanding of laws like IDEA ADA and Section 504 is also essential.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelors degree in special education rehabilitation psychology or related field endorsement(s).
Experience working with students with disabilities particularly in vocational education workbased learning or transition services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role may also involve working in various settings including outdoors and assisting students with handson learning experiences.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed in an office or school location. Regular travel to school locations.
