Medical Records Assistant

CBI is the premiere nonprofit fully integrated healthcare provider of both behavioral health and mental health programs in Arizona including prevention education and treatment using cuttingedge nationally recognized evidencebased models.

Job Summary

The Medical Records Assistant is responsible for filing/scanning tracking and maintaining the agencys medical records including assistance with their release storage disclosure retention and destruction. The position also assists in completion of subpoenas for record requests and releases of information for the agency in accordance with the law.

Skills/Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age (licensing requirement).

High school or GED required.

Minimum 1year experience in medical/client records department or agency that is involved with client records.

Able to operate common office equipment and must be computer literate with knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn other programs (NextGen experience preferred).
