In this role the primary responsibility will be to perform annual inspections of public use airports and heliports and periodic inspections of private use airports heliports and seaplane bases along with their associated facilities. The objective of these inspections will be to evaluate and ensure compliance with established aviation safety standards and both state and federal regulations. Furthermore this position will involve the preparation of comprehensive written correspondence and reports that outline the findings of these inspections. These reports will also include recommendations for corrective actions and it will be essential to follow up on the implementation of these actions to ensure compliance. Additionally this role will involve providing technical guidance to airports heliports and engineering firms in matters related to aviation safety strategic planning and facility development. This guidance will be crucial in assisting these entities in achieving their objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
This position will be based out of the Keystone Building in Harrisburg or a nearby District Office and is responsible for the Eastern Region of the Commonwealth.
