Job Description Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Meducare Operations Coordinator with direction from the Meducare Program Director the Meducare Critical Care Paramedic (CCEMTP) is responsible for the transport of patients and primary patient assessment stabilization and preparation for ambulance transport of critically ill and injured patients within their DHEC certification guidelines and MUSC protocols. The CCEMTP is responsible for interfacility and emergency transports of the patient needing more definitive care during transport. The EMTP is responsible for assuring that the ambulance is checked off each shift to ensure all equipment and supplies are stocked and the ambulance is operational in compliance with DHEC rules and regulations and MEDUCARE guidelines.Entity

High school diploma and five years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMTP) in an Emergency Medical System (EMS) responsible for direct patient care.
Required Licensure Certifications Registrations: EMTP ACLS BCLS CCEMTP required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
