Operator Packing
Site: KKC Columbus Ohio
Shift: 3rd Shift 11:00pm7:30am)
*Additional shift details will be provided in the interview process.*
The Packaging Operator will be a multiskilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained.
What are we looking for
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
What will be your key responsibilities
- Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan.
- Ensure safe correct operation of all packing lines equipment and plant.
- Support peers in achieving highest Safety Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the packing hall.
- Be responsible for the achievement of packaging score.
- Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard.
- Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance.
- Maintain effective communication with all Operations staff to create maximum efficiency.
- Monitor/test adherence to standards ensuring breaches are resolved in a timely and effective way and communication is maintained with the relevant stake holders.
Mission Critical Competencies:
- Have a thorough understanding of the process for the entire factory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (writing talking listening dealing appropriately in pressure situations) with the ability to communicate within a team environment.
- Can troubleshoot the equipment (mechanically and computer controls) and it necessary write a work order on the proper piece of equipment in a timely manner.
- Able to effectively and effectively operate within a selfdirected team with very little supervision.
- Able to effectively manage and prioritize a multitude of tasks occurring simultaneously.
- Able to make timely critical decisions many times during a shift.
Key Functional Skills/Knowledge:
- Able to complete all tasks in the area abiding by the Mars Safety Practices.
- Must be able to assess product quality and troubleshoot any issues associated with product quality.
- Able to read a production schedule.
- Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot and cold dust dirt and chemicals.
