Short Description
- Responsible for installations maintenance and repair of hospital electrical systems and all related equipment and personnel assigned and providing support services to other areas of the department.
- All work and related duties are to be performed in compliance with local and state codes
Experience Required
- Skill and proficiency in all phases of hospital electric systems and equipment emergency generators low voltage systems and ability to read and use blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of local state and federal electrical codes and ordinances related to hospital facilities and ability to properly interpret them.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel to plan and schedule work as needed.
Education Requirements
- High school graduate or GED recipient
License/Certification Requirements
- Current state Master Electrician license required.
- Valid NJ drivers license required.
Special Requirements
- Frequent walking climbing sitting bending and stooping.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions; including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to move or lift tools/equipment in excess of 100 pounds on an occasional basis
