Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Richland WA

Type: Full Time Non Exempt

Anticipated Schedule: MF 84:30 some weekend as needed; flex time eligible

Position Overview:

Guided by the Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Supervisor the Maintenance Technician is dedicated to upholding compliance of all facility locations with the regulations set by the Washington State Department of Health. Through the implementation of a wellstructured program encompassing preventive corrective and repair maintenance the technician preserves the cleanliness safety control comfort and orderliness of the facilities. This comprehensive approach includes the meticulous upkeep of HVAC electrical mechanical and lighting as well as the meticulous management of grounds security and aesthetics. The ultimate objective is to consistently uphold a superior standard of maintenance across all locations ensuring they are not only pristine and secure but also fully aligned with current regulatory standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. One to two 12 years of general maintenance facilities or related experience.

3. Basic knowledge of construction building maintenance and grounds maintenance and strong skills in performing general repairs.

4. Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity and comfort using texting and mobile applications.

5. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

6. Ability to read and follow written instructions diagrams and safety procedures.

7. Available to work occasional evenings weekends and holidays as part of afterhours and oncall.

8. Ability to lift move and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

9. This position is designated as safetysensitive and will require passing a preemployment drug test which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Three 3 or more years of maintenance facilities or trade experience.

2. Formal vocational or technical training in maintenance building systems or a related field.

3. Experience working in healthcare residential or commercial facilities.

4. Knowledge or preventive maintenance programs and systems.

5. Familiarity with building codes OSHA regulations and safety standards

6. Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $19.30 $23.17 per hour

Position Pay Range (or Salary Range): $19.30 $27.03 per hour


Note regarding the listed pay range:

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Pay Range/Salary Range: The full pay range for this position from minimum to maximum based on role responsibilities and market rates.

At TriCities Chaplaincy we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account including education certifications knowledge skills experience and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.


Benefits

Mileage Reimbursement: $0.70 per mile for eligible positions.

Vacation: Accrual of hours each pay period based on hours worked.

Wellness Days: After the 90day introductory period eligible employees can convert up to two sick days into wellness days.

Tuition Assistance: After 1year of employment eligible employees can receive up to $5000 annually in higher education assistance.

Continuing Education Units: TriCities chaplaincy utilizes Relias Learning and CAPC for employees to earn continuing education units for their credential requirements.

Certification and Training Opportunities: Employees can partner with their department director on professional goals that benefit the agency and themselves for certification and training opportunities.


AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

1. Demonstrate support and adherence to the agencys Mission Vision and Values.

2. Participate in community Education and Outreach to raise awareness of agencyprovided programs including but not limited to hospice care advanced care planning and bereavement.

3. Responsible for knowledge and compliance with agency policies procedures and practices.

4. Responsible for maintaining and protecting Patient and agency information in a confidential manner. Practice appropriate HIPAA confidentiality by accessing patientrelated information on a need to know basis only.

5. Reliable personal transportation and current and valid drivers license and vehicle insurance.

6. Satisfaction of state and agency requirements for Tuberculin screening.

7. Hepatitis B immunization series proof of series or signed declination.

8. Proof of applicable Vaccination(s) on file or approved accommodation/declination as appropriate on file.

9. Must pass a criminal background screening and preemployment drug screening.

10. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (see attached physical requirements and environmental conditions).

11. Complete agency and departmental orientation and training program(s).

12. Complete all continued learning education policy reviews and required training by their respective deadlines.

13. Maintain licensure(s) and certification(s) required for the position.

14. Available to work as assigned/scheduled.
