Job Description

The team

Freeths highly rated and awardwinning team of over 150 real estate lawyers operate from 13 UK locations. Our Sheffield Real Estate team covers every aspect of real estate work including Landlord and Tenant commercial and residential development investment acquisitions and disposals fund management property finance and regeneration projects. The Sheffield team is led by Partner Kevin Fox with an extensive background in complex real estate projects and is also a member of our National Housebuilding & Strategic Land group.


The role

The team are in expansion mode and are looking for an enthusiastic lawyer with a broad spectrum of experience to join them in the Sheffield office. Applications are invited from commercial property lawyers at Associatelevel with circa 0 3 years post qualified experience. The role can be adapted to the level of experience of the chosen candidate.

Your skills and qualifications

  • Have directly relevant previous experience and have the correct level of post qualified experience (PQE) for the role in question.

  • To have a strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry.

  • A proven track record of competent financial management ability to meet client expectations and sound case management skills.

  • To be a selfstarting friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to consistently provide high levels of client service.

  • To be able to consistently demonstrate and embody the firms values.

  • Good IT skills experience and confidence with using case management systems electronic time recording and general Microsoft packages.

Key Expectations

  • To work to a consistently high level and to provide an exemplary level of client service and care.

  • Competent financial management and commercial awareness including accurate time recording billing achievement of firm delivered targets and management of WIP.

  • To contribute actively toward business development opportunities to ensure the retention of existing clients and expansion of the business.

  • To ensure at all times that you maintain up to date technical expertise.

  • To be competent at all times in accordance with the SRA competence standards
