Job Description
Responsible for the daily operation andmanagement of the transportation department. Position supervises busdrivers bus attendants substitutes and mentors as well asadministrative staff. Ensure the upkeep of bus routes routemaintenance driver employment personnel issues safety accidentinvestigation background checks DOT testing driver physicals and
drug testing. Supervises field/activity trip assignments and relatedaccounting procedures. Will assist in addressing both patron and driverconcerns as well as assisting with transportation staff evaluations andtransportation budget preparations. Person in this position must carry acurrent CDL with correct endorsements for school bus operation. Perform other duties as assigned by the district.
- Maintain bus route and stop information
- Address driver employment/personnel issues
- Accident investigation
- Address background checks drug screenings and driver physicals
- Oversee field trip/activity trip assignments
- Assist with patron/driver concerns
- Perform staff evaluations
- Assist with transportation budget preparations
- Carry a current CDL with necessary endorsements for school bus operation
- Other duties as assigned
