UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Vascular Surgery Service Line Manager (Clinical Coordinator) to oversee and coordinate the delivery of exceptional clinical care within our vascular surgery service line.
We are the largest academic medical center in Central Massachusetts and the regions only Level 1 Trauma Center. Our dedicated team provides exceptional care to a diverse patient population offering cuttingedge vascular surgery services including open and endovascular aortic repair peripheral bypass dialysis access and advanced venous care. We deliver highquality care across a wide range of perioperative vascular procedures from complex tertiary and quaternary care to routine surgical cases.
As a leader within our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team you will play a key role in overseeing patient care delivery and ensuring the highest standards of practice. In addition to leading efforts at our main hospital location you will guide initiatives at specialized centers such as the Center for Complex Aortic Disease an offsite Vein Center and an OfficeBased Lab all aimed at advancing our vascular surgery services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the vascular surgery service line to ensure the highest standard of clinical care is consistently delivered.
Collaborate with physicians residents referring physicians and healthcare professionals to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.
Serve as a liaison among physicians residents referring physicians affiliated hospitals nurses patients and their families to ensure a patientcentered approach.
Monitor and manage the performance of clinical teams identifying areas for improvement and ensuring best practices are followed.
Foster a collaborative environment and open communication to facilitate problemsolving and improve patient care.
Act as a key member of the leadership team in developing and executing strategies to grow and expand the vascular surgery service line.
Support the development and implementation of policies procedures and protocols to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with physician and administrative leadership to drive the growth development and improvement of the service line balancing administrative duties with direct patient care responsibilities.
Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to safety standards while working to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Provide support and mentorship to staff ensuring professional development and engagement within the service line.
Participate in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial reports related to the service lines activities.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Nursing and/or graduate of Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies.
Minimum of 35 years clinical experience and an additional minimum of two years experience in a management or clinical education role required.
Strong knowledge of vascular surgery practices standards and regulations.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire motivate and direct clinical teams.
Ability to manage complex clinical and administrative tasks balancing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
