Job Summary
The Financial Aid Advisor IV position provides administrative and technical leadership expert consultation and best practices and procedures in all financial aid manner to support system wide KCTCS college financial aid fund programs. It combines student financial aid functional knowledge and technical expertise with an emphasis on federal compliance support. Responsibilities include the daytoday operations of financial aid systems indirectly leading other financial aid systems staff and providing ongoing training. Additionally this role contributes to the enhancement of financial aid processes development of operational metrics problemsolving initiatives and performance improvement efforts.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles KY are termcontract positions with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.
Job Duties:
Provides leadership oversight and assumes responsibility for Pell and Direct loan processing external and internal audits college financial plan and net price calculator verification processes course auditor mismatches etc. for the entire KCTCS system of colleges which requires significant coordination with outside entities such as the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority U.S. Department of Education Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) and the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS).
Assists with development and implementation of PeopleSoft Student and OnBase Workflow Solutions Software and provides leadership direction support and training of system office and 16 colleges financial aid staff.
Provides consultation service support and compliance monitoring for all college level Financial Aid Directors and staff.
Contributes to strategic planning development of business procedures reporting requirements data analysis and related activities in the administration of financial aid funds.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and three 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree and five 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills Requested:
Experience with PeopleSoft and the Microsoft Suite is a plus.
