Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant I provides essential support to the schools administration staff students and families by managing office operations and serving as a key point of contact for the school community.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain accurate student records including daily attendance correspondence related to absences early dismissals late arrivals and special events.
  • Manage school records and data using Google Workspace and student information systems in both digital and physical formats.
  • Coordinate manage and distribute student performance reports each semester through the appropriate electronic systems.
  • Assist families and stakeholders with technologyrelated needs beginning with the student enrollment process.
  • Greet and manage visitors ensuring background check protocols are followed.
  • Support parents and teachers with the districts volunteer procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered.

  • Some college is required.
  • At least 2 years experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES May be representative but not allinclusive of those knowledge skills and abilities commonly associated with the job.

  • Requires the extensive use of technology on a daily basis.
  • Requires strong organization to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Requires the ability to work well with others to provide cohesive services to the District.
  • Requires strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES Activities commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Required to occasionally move objects weighing up to 10 pounds around the workspace.
  • Required to visually obtain information from computer monitor correspondence reports or legal documents.
  • Required to operate standard office equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Eight hours per day. Twelvemonth position as assigned.

Education Requirements:Some college is required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 3 years experience as an administrative assistant or equivalent position. Prior school district office experience is highly desirable.

Compensation: $21.22 31.85 per hour

FLSA status: Nonexempt

Work Calendar: 10monthposition
