Job Description

* Develop lesson plans for individual students based on IEP goals as well as support general education lesson plans of the classroom teacher.* Work with local school districts to develop evaluation reports and IEPs or Accommodation Plans based on students areas of identified need.* Collaborate with general education teachers to make accommodations and modifications to lessons based on IEP goals.* Assist in the coordination of state testing for students who require accommodations* Use appropriate assessment data collection and progress monitoring methods to assess academic and social performance and to inform instruction and progress.* Communicate regularly with parents and professional staff regarding the educational social behavioral personal and adaptive needs of students.* Incorporate instructional assistive and other types of technology; and uphold the acceptable use policy.* Comply with federal and state model policies and procedures for the education of students with disabilities complete all required reports and record keeping in accordance with timelines and deadlines maintain confidentiality reports to child protective services as mandated.* Use effective classroom management strategies to create a safe positive and engaging learning environment; and is responsible for the care custody and supervision of students.
