About the role
SMC Manufacturing is a fastgrowing contract manufacturer and proud part of the The GelBottle Inc. As we expand our operations in Invergorden were looking for a proactive handson Maintenance Technician to help keep our factory running safely efficiently and at peak performance.
In this role youll be key to maintaining and repairing essential equipment supporting smooth daily operations coordinating specialist contractors and ensuring full compliance through accurate maintenance records. Your work will directly support the high standards we deliver for our partners and clients.
What youll be doing:
- Maintain and repair mixers pumps and production line equipment
- Support general site maintenance and minor upgrades
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors to resolve technical issues
- Ensure all work is safe and compliant with company standards
- Manage stock and logistics across warehouse and outdoor areas
- Assist the Filling Team with stock prep packing and fulfilment
- Track goods in/out with the Supply Chain and Labelling teams
- Act as the goto contact for factory floor engineering tasks
- Oversee thirdparty vendors and service providers
- Keep operations running smoothly with a handson teamfirst approach
About you:
Were looking for someone with solid maintenance experience particularly in a manufacturing environment. Youll have a good understanding of safe systems of work and be confident supporting equipment on the factory floor. Youll also be comfortable handling basic digital records and communicating with suppliers to source parts and resolve issues quickly.
Were looking for someone with:
- A strong understanding of safe systems of work (e.g. permits to work isolations risk assessments method statements)
- Experience identifying and ordering spare parts through suppliers
- Basic MS Office skills (our maintenance records are currently Excelbased)
- Experience operating a forklift or other plant machinery
- Significant handson experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting
